What are mirror wills?
Mirror wills are two separate wills with corresponding wishes. For example, you might each leave your estate to the other, with agreed beneficiaries if your partner dies first. You each make and sign your own document.
They do not lock either person into an unchangeable agreement. Either person can change their own will; changing one does not update the other. Read our guide to mirror wills

Frequently asked questions
Do we have to share an account?
The €74.95 couples offer applies to two completed wills purchased together in one account. Both people must agree, because the account holder can view and edit both drafts. If you prefer to keep your answers private from each other, use separate accounts at the individual €47.95 price.
Must our wills be identical?
No. Mirror wills usually reflect a shared plan, but each of you can choose personal gifts, executors and other wishes. The software prepares each will from that person’s answers. Each person must understand and approve their own document.
Are mirror wills right for every couple?
They may suit straightforward wishes, but personal advice is especially useful for children from previous relationships, overseas assets, substantial business or agricultural holdings, tax questions or competing family claims. Unmarried partners should consider their inheritance and tax position carefully; writing mirror wills does not give them the same rights as spouses.
Can either of us change our will later?
Yes. The wills remain separate, and one person’s changes do not alter the other’s document. Each purchase includes 30 days of updates to the same person’s will, with name changes during the first seven days. A replacement will must be printed, signed and witnessed correctly. This service does not create a binding mutual-wills agreement.
